Scenario: I came in as a new lead from Realself in Feb. This week, I clicked a PPC ad. Assuming my name, email and phone haven’t changed, MML will recognize and update my existing record w/out updating the original lead source from RS to PPC. However, there is a field called “Last Attribution,” not visible when you open the lead, that will record the new inquiry date and the new lead source. Every time I inquire again, my Last Attribution will be updated to the most recent time.
On the Conversion Report we have recently added a “See by Last Attribution” checkbox.
• If you run the report for a date range including this week, I won’t appear on the default view but I will appear on the Last Attribution View.
• If you run the report for a date range including Feb, I’ll appear on the default view.
• If you run the report for a date range including both, I’ll be counted on the default view under Realself and on the Last Attribution view under PPC.
Keep in mind that for most leads, original Lead Posted Date is equal to Last Attribution date. So most will show up on both views of the report for a given date range.
